Why bother?

I’ll tell you why we’re bothering; so that it might help you think things through.

For the last couple of decades I’ve had a job. It’s a weird concept, but seems to be something that most people do in this part of the world.

They get up in the morning earlier than they want to, eat something crap far quicker than they want, travel in traffic that they don’t like, to go to a place they don’t want to be, to do some crap they don’t give a fuck about with people they would’t usually choose to be with. Then they go home, do some stupid stuff, sleep, repeat, until they’re too old to do anything they actually want to do.

Then, as a reward for this, they get a few little weeks every year to do something fun, which they’re supposed to be happy about and grateful for.

I’m exaggerating a little bit, but you see my point.

If you’d never visited this part of this planet before, and you observed these squidgy little humans behaving this way you’d probably think they were completely mad.

So what’s the answer?

I don’t know, but there has to be more to life than the repetitive monotone existence that most people seem to live.

So anyway, for us, this is why we’re doing it. We want to have some adventures.
We want to see different places and get to know people in diverse cultures. Also, I love driving.
So it makes sense for us.

I’m not yet sure how to make money in a way that supports this, but I’ll work it out.

How about you? Do you want some excitement? Do you want a little bit of risk, and maybe adventure into the unknown a little? Or maybe you want to have a cool looking beast to camp locally in.

Do think about it carefully though, as the conversion will be expensive and / or hard work.
